In the last month I saw a great deal of 50th anniversary coverage of the first moonwalk. This made me very proud of the accomplishments of all involved on so many levels. My collection has until now been mostly focused on Rolex and Panerai. I started to see the Speedmaster getting some media time and appearing in posts on a number of watch forums. Sure enough after trying a Speedmaster on I picked up a new full set Hesalite with the SS bracelet. I had a custom alligator strap 20/18 mm made from an strap maker that did a bunch for my Panerai. Put the watch on the new strap with an OEM tang buckle. Very pleased by the look and super comfortable feel on the wrist. Great value, beautiful and classic look. Sporty and elegant. Nicely crafted and the big box set is super cool. Now a believer in the idea that every collection needs a Speedmaster. Thx to the forum for helping me see the beauty of the Speedmaster.

Thx, the strap is really solid. I prefer tang vs deployant with a leather strap in most cases. Although the OEM tang buckle feels a bit dainty to me. Having a few rolex sport watches with SS bracelets so the leather is a great option. Peter Watch Accessories in Thailand.

Did the same thing last month, the Speedmaster has always been a source of fascination to me having grown up in the space exploration era (watched Armstrong & Aldrin do their thing on a B&W TV) so figured what the heck am I waiting for? Like you, got the bracelet, which I do really like, but optimal adjustment is a tad tight in warm weather, so am having my AD order a brown strap and deployant clasp for summertime, bracelet will be worn in colder months. Congratulations, you'll enjoy your Speedy, it's elegant and low-key, runs under most people's radar, but anyone who recognizes it is either an enthusiast or an owner.

Love the classic design. Case shape, hesalite, dial arrangement and feeling on the wrist.

Been wearing it for just two days. At first it seemed a bit light compared to my other watches but I am really enjoying the iconic quality. Very strong and classic design give the iconic feel.
