·Not sure if its true but I was told long ago that we were distantly related. There is a family resemblance. I had not given it much thought but having a well researched Family tree here that I've used to trace my bloodline to the mid 1600's I might just take the time and effort to find out for certain one way or the other.
One of my great grand nieces has an IQ higher than that of Stephen Hawking, in fact so high they are unable to truly measure it, and has won a number of awards and scholarships. I'm hoping she will enter the space program in the near future.

··Ash @ ΩFVery sad to see this, Young was my favourite of the Apollo era astronauts. I absolutely loved his dry wit in all of the interviews he gave, bloke was a legend.

My favorite Astronaut. Had the honor of meeting him and Bob Crippen when I was a kid before their launch. My Dad was working for BF Goodrich at the time and they provided the tires for orbiter.
