·For your consideration is a safe queen. I purchased this special watch in 2009, and don't believe I have worn it more than ten times. I have kept it in the back of the vault, and it does not ever get worn. I have my eyes on a Patek, and finally am willing to let this go.
In 2008, JLC made 768 examples of this rare limited piece. It was to recognize the Polaris model for the 1960's. This watch is 42mm, and wears big because of the crystal style that comes out to the edges. Most of you know that it is a diver's watch, but it has a crystal clear mechanical alarm which can be set by the rotating inner dial. There is aso an inner ring that can be rotated to show elapsed time. It was made exactly like the original watch. This model was to mathc the 1967 model. This has been one of JLC's all-time recognizable timepieces, and is a very special watch. I have taken it to a couple of GTG's and it has been the highlight of the show and tell.
I purchased the watch at a JLC authorized dealer, and it comes with all the paperwork that is required from an AD. I also pruchased an extra strap from JLC, and that is un-opened in the plastic. Naturally, the extra crystal is in the box and has not been touched. I don't see any scratches on the watch; as mentioned it has been living in the vault.
I have sold watches and fountain pens on eBay for many years. My ID is updyke. I have a score of 589 and it is 100% perfect. Please check me out. I have sold a few watches on Omegaforums, Timezone, and watchyouseek. I believe in long term integrity, which comes with one sale at a time.
If my memory serves me correctly, this watch retailed in 2008 for $15,900. They only made 768 that year. I will sell this for $13,100. This is the lowest price that I have seen on the net in any condition! Buyer will pay postage and insurance. The amount will depend on the location of the buyer.
