A very nice 1970's era dive watch with Date function.

A glossy black dial with simple, elegant indices, each carrying a tritium lume plot with a lovely light aqua green color. The bi-directional black Bakelite bezel is truly excellent, with no visible cracks or distortions, and rotates with appropriate resistance. The brass body underneath provides a flash of color at each index. The tritium 12 O'Clock triangle index and the quarter hour numbers glow brightly for a brief time following exposure to light. All of the aqua colored Tritium lume on the hands, dial and bezel compliment each other well.

From what I've learned, Jenny was noted for their high quality case manufacturing, and they were a case vendor to other manufacturers . This 39mm case is in nice condition and highlights the work of that era. The case measures 44mm from tip to tip on the lugs. The case has some minor swirls and scuffs, but shows very well. I believe the case may have been refinished at some point, however the brushing and chamfers are all very nicely done. Please see the detailed photos. The screw down crown works smoothly and correctly and caps off the Jenny case very nicely. The acrylic crystal has some light swirls as well

The ETA 2452 automatic movement, with hand wind option was purportedly serviced before my purchase, sometime in 2014. I have worn the watch in rotation and have found it to run accurately on my wrist. On my wrist, the watch is running at approximately plus 10 seconds per day. The date is adjusted by way of turning the crown forward and backwards from between 9PM to 1 AM. Once set the date turns over smoothly near midnight.

The 19mm generic SS Oyster type Bracelet is in nice shape, and in my opinion compliments the case design very well. It fits my 7 1/2" wrist well with room to adjust up to an 8" wrist without any mods to the bracelet.

This sale is part of my consolidation, after realizing that a watch collection number of N+1 won't continue to work for me. I hope this watch will find its way to another OF member.

Price is $1250 USD, net of any transactional costs, with insured shipping within the USA borne by me. Paypal works well for me, and other methods can be discussed and mutually agreed to. Overseas shipment is also possible - with a discussion and joint agreement. I accept returns only if the watch is mis-represented.

    My thanks to OF.
