This caught my eye. I love the color scheme, and the bezel looks to be some sort of countdown timer?

Then I found out that these have Valjoux 72s inside

Then I found out this one was probably pre-WW2.

Now I'm all excited while I wait for the auction to end to see if I won it.

The bezel is quite odd... a reverse GMT? I don't get it, but it makes for an interesting talking point.

Did you get a look at the movement to see if it's clean?

Could the hour numerals have been added poorly after the fact, or have the original numerals been cleaned off by someone?

This posting suggests that pilots were a target market for Jardur, and the rotating bezel indicates the remaining duration of a flight.

That seems to be the case. A brief summary and repair job on one of these is on here.

I was more curious about the o-180 degree inner markings and guessed correctly, based on the great link above. But what's up with the red triangle on the minutes subdial?

2 minute timer...perhaps our resident pilots e.g @Mad Dog can assist?

Well based on my reading, airplanes back then were set to do 360 degree turns in 2 minutes. So 2 minutes = 1 full turn, less than that you can compute using the 180 degree markers?

So yes <=180° turns can be calculated with the degree markers.

@Foo2rama with that in mind the red triangle is probably used to calculate when turns between and including 180° (1 minute) and 360° (2 minutes) are complete.
