    Hey guys,

So there’s always a ton of great looking modern-ish (last 15 years) Omega’s for sale on eBay from Japanese sellers, most at great prices with boxes and papers. I am always leery of buying from Asia (although Japan seems safer to me for some reason). The sellers all have tons of positive feedback and seem to have an endless supply (or they never sell). Some are watch specialists, some sell everything under the sun.
Anyone have experience buying from any of these sellers? Any that are known for great QC? Any to avoid?

The one piece of advice I'd have is to check the length of the bracelet on any watch you buy, they often seem to come with short ones...

Are these members here? And when you say not your recommendations, you are saying you haven’t dealt with them?

Dealers in japan. Higher side of price ranges, generally

I’ve dealt with, visited, spoken with.

Agree that their prices are on the higher side but with full kit and being a reputable dealer there is always a bit of a premium. But seeing as they are legit that makes 2 then that would be safe

Look on eBay for the items you may be interested in, but always google the seller to see if they have a separate website. Oftentimes the website will be cheaper.

Bull. But appreciate we all have our views. They’re likely getting stock from pvt sellers etc and adding massive premiums. Simple.

I've also wondered about buying from Japan. Has anyone who's done so had a negative experience?

Full kit means with boxes and papers- common terminology.
What’s bull? I agree their prices are higher than the norm, so there is no “we all have our views”, just stating that they can ask what they ask as dealers- doesn’t mean they are going to get it.

Yes- a well known member here bought an item he had listed and the auction was cancelled with a PM stating that closer has listed it too low and was resisting it at a higher price. That’s not good business.

I have had three good buying experiences with closer. Ymmv and I would judge each watch individually, most if not all watch dealers sell some stinkers.

Got it. So they are consigning from private sellers and marking them up?
