Sorry for the repost, but this is still valid.

I have no complaints about the Speedy. 馃槣

Tried both on. my main issue with the bond is the coat of arms at 12. Not a fan, kept looking at it and it made me think there was a mark or something on the crystal. It鈥檚 big enough to see it but not big enough to know what it is.
The black one is cool. Tones are very similar to the titanium yachtmaster. I actually like the octopus symbol on the back.
Will probably pick up the spectre model before the year end.
Hopefully we can all relax soon! It鈥檚 a new watch, if you don鈥檛 like it then fair enough. If you do it鈥檚 an option.

Crazy number of no date versions of this watch lately. I know having a date is controversial, but for me it's a necessity.

As a no date fan. I wish more brands did this with their dive watches

For anyone who owns both one of the new James Bond or Spectre models and a current-generation standard Seamaster Diver 300M (42mm): Does the standard SMP 300 steel bracelet fit flush on the new Bond/Spectre case? Thanks.

I saw these at the OB today! The Spectre was kinda nice, the bezel is actually a nice textured dial and doesn't look nearly how it does in the photographs. The Bond is a bit ugly IMO, the bezel looks a bit 'cheap' in its texturing. Both bezels FELT chunkier than my 300m, perhaps due to the little bit extra height.

The dials themselves are both nice, and the rest of the case is exactly as the rest of the 300ms. The bracelet is pretty lovely, I'd not handled one before!

The rotor designs are 'neat' (the Spectre cooler than Bond), but don't really do anything for me.

So in summary: Less bad than I thought it would be on the Bond, pretty nice Spectre, neither will find their way into my watch box.

Ran by the OB to try them on since curiousity killed the cat. Out of the two, the Spectre one looks better overall. The octopus rotor looks like something you would find on a swatch watch. At least the dial/bezel is coherent and works together. The non-wave dial really helps with the overall look and sleakness.

The Bond one is a mess from a design perspective. Too much going on with the Coat of Arms, shallow wave dial, and weird bezel texture. Too many things fighting each other.

The thickness is what was expected...it is what it is. The milanese bracelet is another ding. Think they probably have a stockpile of them with the rediculous designed clasp and are throwing them on every new watch they have.

Certain ideas should be left on the marketing room floor. Neither will end up in my watch box ever.
