Great looking piece and I hope you love it but, I just don't get it.... I don't understand the desire for this over the trilogy Seamaster... That's not to say it shouldn't be in a collection but sometimes I don't get the connection. Just an opinion, no offence intended.

If you read the novels, Bond was not into having a very luxury watch. Keep in mind that back in the days, the Rolex was not as luxurious as it is today.

The move to the Omega Seamaster since Goldeneye is a good one for me. It sticks more to Flemming's character. Also, I always loved the look of the Seamaster Pro.

I have one of the LE with the Walther rifling on the dial. It's a work of art and I continue to wear it regularly...

Exactly, the Rolex Explorer that Flemming owned was simply a sturdy tool watch. In the novels Bond only uses his watch as a tool.
