Literally the “sword hands” were put to use.

Nice piece, good luck with sale.

I knew this wouldn't last long.

ps - no squirrels were harmed with the hands of that watch, as far as I know.

Seems like a bargain to me! I'm curious, purely for informational sakes - with the dial marked JLC and the movement just with LeCoultre, is it possible that the movement has been changed at some time? I thought LeCoultre was only used for the US market stuff that wasn't marked with the full JLC.

Not unusual for this era European JLC.

Movements produced prior to the merger of Jaeger and LeCoultre (~1937) signed 'LeCoultre' were used frequently on early post-merger watches, although movement swap can still be a possibility..

Not with watches this early (1930's). LeCoultre was a century-old watchmaking company that made movements, and was based in Le Sentier, where the facility still is. That family partnered with Edmund Jaeger (the French Navy's watchmaker), which resulted in Jaeger LeCoultre in the late 30's. The US market LeCoultre watches came later, as a separate division based in the US (partnered with VC and Longines) that was done to get around import tariffs on precious metals using American made cases.
