·The seller mentioned a story that these models were allegedly used as a form of “salary payment” for French military personnel during wartime, due to cash shortages at the time. I don’t have any independent confirmation of this and am sharing it purely as anecdotal information. If anyone has reliable sources or historical insight on this, I’d be very interested to learn more.
