Could be original. Those are pretty close to correct Universal Geneve fonts and this is a Jaeger-branded Universal. Something does bug me about the inking on the minute subdial. I'd need a closer look to distinguish original from service dial, or very good redial.
I agree with you about the inking. What was striking me was the inconsistent scale of the figures used on the left and right subdials, which seemed like a red flag.
The dial was original. I looked at it in the flesh in the parisian shop where it was for sale. But any way, the watch is now sold (although the asking price was quite high)
