Elgin Corsican fascinate me, especially this one. When wristwatches we're deemed to be for women, America was producing these amazing watches. This watch is advertised as having slight oxidation on the movement ( or should I say 'grade'?) which is a pity. Apparantly the 450 cal. is not that complicated to work on, or so I read. That is interesting to me obviously... I love the idea of owning a watch with a quality movement like the Hamilton 922, unfortunately here in Europe they seem to be very scarce these 'high-end' American watches. Therefore I am posting this watch here. If you have a Corsican or you know of one somewhere or you just know about them please share any info, thank you.

Always interesting to see old pics like these, almost all the men wore a white shirt, a tie and hat. And now.......
Dempsey, 6'1", 190 lbs, took on world champ Jess Willard, 6'6", 245 and knocked him down 7 times in the 1st round. Willard failed to come out for the 4th round.
When I was a kid we lived only a few miles from Manassa and remember my dad taking me to see the cabin he was born in and telling me about him on the drive.
