    Hi Guys,
I came across this IWC vintage automatic with cal 8521 and the reseller is asking 650 usd.
Is it a good/fair price for the condition (case is a bit rusty) ?
    Thanks for your help!
    Here are some pictures:

If the dial damage doesn’t bother you and you want to invest a few hundred dollars in a thorough cleaning of the movement and rust removal for the case, the price is good.

Case looks some what sharp, the movement looks OK too, but I could imagine that one or more parts had to be renewed.

This wheel of the infamous Pellaton automatic winding system caught my attention as it looks worn, could be solved with a cleaning&oiling of the movement

I've always liked that movement and IWC movements in general. I think years ago there was an article on that movement in the NAWCC bulletin. First IWC I saw was a Cal 83 and my first impression was "quality".

It's a super price for that watch! It needs a service, but if you don't want it please send the seller to me:whistling:

If you look at my service post you can see just how well decorated this watch is! https://mitka.co.uk/2019/01/17/__trashed-2/

@Mitka, after asking questions about a potential wheel being damaged, he told me that he removed the caliber and that he found quite a lot of rust on the other side and that he preferred not to sell me the watch anymore.
I will have to keep searching.

Be hard to remove the calibre as thats the term for what movement it is, but I guess he realised it badly needed a service and potentially some more work. Fair play!
