In an effort to educate (and hopefully purchase) to my less than trained in IWC eyes, this looks like an all original dial with a case that is pretty close to unpolished... let the education begin!

Thanks Tony, glad to hear. Now just have to decide if I can pull the trigger...

Looks nice. Possibly some slight bubbling on the dial, but still beautiful. 37mm 18k case and cal 89, I assume? Do you want to share the asking price? Check that the case and movement serial numbers are close using the following link:

Thanks, Dan! Yes, cal 89 in a 37mm 18k rose gold case. Don’t have movement or case pics yet, but could return if purchased and they don’t line up. Asking $1850...

Based on what I can see in those photos, the price is good as long as everything checks out. I love this reference BTW. Any other photos? Sides? Back?

I love this reference too, and have been trying to track down a good one at a good price for a while. Unfortunately not the best timing... so I'd have to sell a piece or two that I'd rather not sell, but that's the game, right?!? Also no service history and is apparently running well but will likely need a service as it's been sitting for a while. Still a good deal? Here are a couple more photos that aren't great but show back and side a bit.

Yeah, I still like it, and needing-service is expected for me. Small bubbles on dial are the only issue I see, and even those might be a trick of the light in the photos. Hard to tell.

When you come across a piece you've been looking for, you have to be opportunistic.

I think you are right with the small marks and some bubbles on the dial.
Price seems ok for that condition. If I remember well the squirrel bought one about half a year ago for a similar price.

And I waited just a beat too long (maybe someone on here got it?)

I love this reference too but I have a real prejudice against snap backs. Unless I can get a great example like this for a real bargain...I stay away because the world just doesn't like them.

If all is as good as it looks, that case appears to be excellent, then I'd like it. I have the same but the case is pretty worn and the dial showing it's age.

Wish I could... didn't get mine. Hesitated and someone else snagged it. Now the biggest regret of my watch collecting career...
