Hi OF! I have for sale an IWC caliber 89 watch from 1951. This certainly isn't a safe queen and has seen plenty of wrist time, but it is beautifully preserved. The caliber 89 is considered to be one of IWC's greatest achievements and it is one of my favorite time only movements because of its beauty, serviceability, and affordability. Coined ”The Poor Man's Patek” Serial #: 1277143 Case material: 18k Solid Yellow gold Case dimensions: 36mm x 45mm, 37.5 diameter with crown, 18mm lug width Movement: Cal. 89 - manual wind, center seconds, 17 jewels, 18,000 beats per hour Condition Report Dial: Very clean, un-refinished white dial. The dial has developed an even champagne tone patina. Original hands in great condition with a little oxydation. Case: In good condition. Likely unpolished, but the upper right lug might have had some detailing done. Hallmarks are still very sharp. The case has some micro-scratches throughout and the caseback has one minor ding, but nothing major. Original crown Movement: serviced by Dmitrie Vicovanu of Masters of Time in NYC in 2013. The movement is running strong and keeping time better than COSC standards. -end of condition report- The watch comes on a Camille Fournet matte dark brown alligator strap with a period incorrect, but authentic IWC buckle. The asking price is 1775 USD OBRO + shipping worldwide via Paypal. Face to face deal is possible in the San Francisco/Palo Alto area until 7/28 or New York after that.
