I have here for sale a lovely steel IWC Automatic R810A three hander. This one is a little out of my normal collecting field but when I bought it I was taken by its striking dial and chunky unpolished steel case.

As can be seen the steel 35mm case is in great shape, never polished with awesome faceted lugs, flat bezel and fish crown. The case back has a feint NATO rash which could be easily removed if so desired, I prefer it as it is.

The dial is in perfect condition and is a grey colour with fine vertical brushing which changes from a light to a dark anthracite depending on how the light catches it. Baton markers and hands with original and aged tritium are also in excellent shape with no corrosion.

Any dial marks in the photo's were dust on the crystal. Since taking these photo's I've had a new crystal fitted as the sharp eyed amongst you may have noticed a small hairline crack to this crystal at the six o clock 😉

Dating from 1967, so perfect as a birth year watch for somebody celebrating their 50th this year, the automatic hacking calibre 854 is winding and setting smoothly and keeping good time. No service history whilst in my possession.
