·I’m offering this great example of an unusual high end complication watch from the iconic IWC Pilot family. This split second chronograph was famously engineered by Richard Habring during his time at IWC, and you can read the full details of that in this excellent article from Hodinkee’s Jon Bues:
The IWC Doppelchrono Reference 3711
https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/iwc-doppelchrono-reference-3711-in-depth
The watch comes with the full set of inner and outer boxes, papers, original black alligator strap, and a nice brown leather pilot style replacement strap and buckle, also from IWC.
The watch has been sparingly worn, and doesn’t have any noticeable scratches or dings, but the photos below form part of the sales description, so please ask if there are any queries prior to purchase. The tritium hands and markers have aged to a wonderful creamy hue, and are original to the watch (many examples that you see have replaced, very white hands, which don’t look anywhere near as nice in my opinion). It keeps good time, and functions as expected (playing with the split seconds chrono can be a fun way to pass time in a meeting!), but it is being sold as-is, and this is a private sale, so no ‘buyers remorse’ returns.
I am asking $6,250 net to me, including shipped overnight priority Fedex to CONUS (preferred, but overseas available at extra cost). I’ve bought and sold many times on OF, you can look at my profile history, or ask for references if needed.
