    Hi all.

I need some help. I found a Speedmaster with calibre 321, but the dial seems not too match, the hands and the bezel, or am I wrong?
The serial is 245341xx, it says 145012 - 67 SP

Is it an old movement with all new parts for the rest?

    Thx for advise!

    http://speedmaster101.com/145-012/

Movement number appears ok for a 145.012

    Dial looks quite nice!

Hands are not moonwatch hands, they look like from a mark ii.

Hands can be sorted though relatively easily.

What's the deal with the bezel? DNN?

What is wrong with the dial? Looks pretty darn good, IMO, but I guess it could have been scraped and relumed. Bezel is later replacement as well as the hands most likely. Serial is right in line for the reference. What are the issues?

Let me know if you don't want it, sourcing hands is REALLY HARD :)

The hour/min hands are wrong. Maybe from a Mk version speedy? The bezel is a dot near 90, which for this reference should be a dot over 90. As mentioned neither things are too hard to sort out but may be $$$$. I'm sort of thrown by that icky-green lume color, re-lume?

Edit: looking at the full res photo of dial, the 8o'clock marker seems to be a different color than the rest? This could of course be a photo angle issue.

Thanks so far. Sorry for the bad pics but I had to go quickly and the camera is quiete new.

Movement, Case, Dial - ok --> thought that Professional came on dials later than 67
hands, bezel - not ok --> hands can be found, but are expensive? bezel is DNN, but that does not matter to me that much, but the hands....

1 of my 2 Speedies has to go, the third one is a secret and stays anyway ;-)

Source the hands and be done with it. If you cannot source period hands, then you can always buy replacement hands and have them painted to match. While the purists will shun that, if you are wanting to wear it, that is a great option. Of course if you ever go sell it, it your obligation to let the buyer know that the hands are not original.

For what? New hands repainted will probably run $200-400 if done correctly, maybe less, all depends. Period hands, shoot, who knows in this market. The problem with period hands is that while they may be period, they may not match your dial.

Personally, I would do new hands. If you are in Europe, @Pianist has done some beautiful work on painting hands to match.

Pretty sure most on here, and I could be mistaken, would pay under 3k euro for the watch in its current state.

Now you can't mention a secret and then not expect others to ask about the secret. Because by mentioning the secret it has now become a "secret". Someone back me up here.... @oddboy ?

In my experience, one does not mention they have a secret unless they'd like to be asked about it

sorry, no secret. Just had no pic of my other Speedy...
I have the Apollo X1 as shown from around 80ies, the 57 Replica and 2004 standard Moonwatch.

Now I think of buying the 321 from 67 (50 years next year in 2017...) or a First in Space Reedition.....?

I bought a nice set of hands from a 145.012 for $39 on ebay.

..are they really off a real vintage speedmaster? I dunno, I think so. They look the part and I don't have any way to determine with certainty... but they were cheap and look better than mark ii hands!

Does the watch have a flat feet crown and/or a flat feet crystal?

That dial may well be a good 'un.

The hands you linked are also correct.
