Hi everyone, I inherited this watch from my grandfather and I just wanted some opinions on if this is a real vintage Seamaster. Thanks for the help!

Looks good to me. Get rid of the Speidel band (they damage inner lugs) and have it serviced.

It’s not just correct it will clean up beautifully with a basic service and a new crystal or polish on the crystal. Don’t touch the case or the dial.

Hey sorry, I'm not a watch person at all. I thought this was the appropriate place to ask if it was authentic. I would have asked my grandfather, but he passed in 2014. I was pretty sure it was legitimate anyway since it was from his store. Just wanted a more experienced opinion than my own. I am sorry that my post was inappropriate and for offending anyone.

You should have stated your intentions, in my opinion. You made it sound like an inheritance and you just wanted to know what you had, not wanted to know what you had so you could post the info on your eBay auction and increase your chances of getting a higher bid. Just one man's opinion. It's all in the approach.

Agreed, I should have been more transparent. My main intention was to see if it could be counterfeit. I would not have listed it if there was a chance it wasn't an authentic watch. I was not trying to get endorsements. My approach definitely could have been better.
