Anyone see any issues with this. I know it was serviced by Omega in 2015 when the hands and crown were changed but the original parts come with the watch. I guess my main concern is if the case was replaced as it seems sharp and no dings which is why I am concerned.

Bezel being a type B and a 22,5 mill movement align to early version but no pics of movement or inside caseback.

How much is it going for? Looks nice, but period correct hands might be hard to source... crowns are aplenty.

Can't help you with the case, could have just been carefully worn?

I guess it depends on the price?

Guessing Omega might have polished case and bracelet during the 2015 service. It is shiny.

Also at the prices these are going for, you should ask for a movement/caseback reference shots

I think its a slightly worn vintage watch. The only way to be sure would be opening the watch and confirming the case back is the vintage one and not a modern replacement.

The condition of the 16 endlinks speaks for itself, its a closet queen

as it might have been at omega, also the bracelet would have gotten a complete refinish, so u can only judge by better pics

I suspect the replacement hands might not be correct style. What reference is the OP SM300?

Here is a 165024-64 with correct, original, hands.

Sounds like the correct parts come with the watch... so don't worry too much about the hands on there...

I think that is part of the challenge. No case reference number or movement shot that I have seen yet.

True. Unless the original replaced hands are very worn.

Original hands stick version as expected for early example but are not great from what I can see. Got them down to $6.5k but not going to get movement or inside caseback pics so would be a risk going for it.

Did they give a reason for not providing movement or case back shot? I’m all for a little risk, but not at 6.5K.

For them a big selling point is that the movement it is recently serviced so they don't want to impact that by opening it.

That's the biggest load of bull I've heard all day.

Ask them for movement pictures, serious.

Edit: Removing the caseback does NOTHING to the movement, serviced or not.

Are they claiming it to be dive-worthy? There's no way they can promise that a 60s watch can survive a diving trip.

I understand people want to see these photos, but I think you have to be careful saying it's BS or implying there is some ulterior motive for not taking the case back off. I don't know the details here, but if the watch was recently serviced, opening the case may void whatever warranty the watchmaker who did the work has given - it certainly would with Omega.

In addition, opening a case back without properly cleaning the watch first may lead to dirt entering the case and possibly affecting the movement - I see it all the time. I would not assume that whoever is selling a watch is always comfortable with removing a case back, or has the right tools to do so without causing damage.

As for the water resistance, dive watches from the 60's can certainly be as water resistant as they day they were made if they have been properly taken care of, and had their seals replaced. Unless the person who has the watch gets this done by a watchmaker who can ensure that no dirt enters the case and that the watch is pressure tested after, there is certainly a risk in demanding that some seller with unknown skills take the back off for photos...

    Cheers, Al

After a bit of back and forward he explained it was that he did not have correct equipment to open so he was reluctant to try as it could cause damage. He took to a watchmaker and got it opened.

From the not so good pics the info I needed and also could see a nice set of 16 endlinks so have done a deal for it. Once I get it and restore the original parts to it I will share pics and get an extract.

    Tks for the comments......
