Is this second hand correct

Hi,
I am looking for a Seamaster Pro, and having looked at dozens, the second hand on this model always seems to have a red tip.
Is the second hand on the pic below original, or were white tipped second hands used? I cant find another example apart from this one.

Common thing, the red tips on these second hands can often fade so much they turn white, here you'll see my SMPC and Trev's below it, his had the hands turn almost white too, its a naturally occurring thing so I'd actually be inclined to leave it, looks kind of neat actually

It's quite common for the second hand tip on the earlier 2531's to have faded from red to pink and then white.
It's no big deal.

Thanks D - I did wonder, but couldn't find any examples.

I have bought it now and am waiting for that and my Speedmaster to arrive - Late Christmas presents, but hoping for a couple of happy days early next week 😀

The orange hands are more prone to fading than the red, but the red fade too. More of them are faded when they cross my bench than not.

Do all paintings on all Omega dials and hands fade?
Will the red seamaster word fade too on my PO 8500?

If so then I guess the lacquered dial will also fade, correct?

All? No not all. Time will tell on the newer watches, but with the costs of some of the current dials, I sure hope they don't fade!
