Title says it all. Looking to pick up this watch and just want to make sure it is ok. Here are the images: https://imgur.com/a/IN18uPq
It will help get the conversation going if you put forward your own thought s on the watch; what you like/don’t like etc.
Oh it looked fine to me I just have been burned and wanted to confirm with some people who are smarter than me. Here are the images uploaded. I think it looks real good and the seller is asking a grand. I would really appreciate any help! Thanks guys!
It's hard to be sure as the photos are poor quality. The DeVilles often have dials that stand up well but equally many vintage Omegas have been redialled. It looks like it's probably ok but quality pics needed to be certain.
From the crappy pics the dial looks fine. The lume on the hands seem mighty white so may be replacement, but again- crappy pics. Can barley make out lume pips on the dial but they seem to be there (again- crappy pics- pips should be close to hand lume color). Need to see a pic of the back to make sure it’s the seahorse and not an engraving back (will def affect value). Case appears heavily polished and lugs have lost their crispness- but again.... When asking a seller for pics, you need to specify bright and diffused (like a cloudy day) and some with direct raking light (like the sun hitting it at an angle). Also close up details of the dial strait on and on a 45 from each side. Price is high by 30-40% in good shape (which the overpolished case would kill for me) unless they can show recent service records, then overpriced by 20-30%
Looks like an Orange County Watch Co photo. I haven't looked at their sales for quite some time, but when I last did they seemed to have overpriced poor to mediocre Omegas and the occasional decent one at an astronomical price.
The price is a joke for a Ref. in this condition. 600-700 is the big max for a Watch in this state. I personally wouldn't buy it. The BOR bracelet is a plus. Btw. You can even find the Ref. before in 14k Gold for pretty much the same price on this forum https://omegaforums.net/threads/reduced-vintage-1960s-seamaster-pre-deville-solid-14k-gold.100313/
