Is this real or fake?

Hey, I was given this "Omega Constellation" from a mate. He got a box of watches from family while he was over in Scotland. I know little about watches and I am not expecting this to be real. I've compared it to other "1551/861 Omega Constellation's" and to me they look different. Please could some take a look?

The number you quote is the bracelet model number, not related to the head. It’s hard to tell based just on those terrible pics but at first glance that looks real to me. Can you post a clearer pic of the dial? The Ls in Constellation look a bit funny but it could just be the pic.

Thanks, I'll try take some better pictures.

Best I could do with the lighting.
Wait for better lighting, like when you have an abundance of natural light.

Other than the fact some of the paint is missing from the first “l” in Constellation, it looks like a real, from the 90s. Best way to be sure is to open it up and make sure it has a real Omega movement inside, which would probably be an 1120 and look like this:

The observatory and stars don’t look kosher to me….but far from experienced in these.

Here is a similar watch for sale

I agree the stars look odd, no visible serial number either. Another thing that gives concern is the bleed effect on the inlaid gold omega symbol on the bracelet. That doesn't look right to me at all. That along with the apparent poor printing on the dial give it at least 2 strikes, maybe more like 4. Of course we are being asked to evaluate something through a very murky prism and no one at all could give a 100% reliable answer based on that IMO.

I don't like anything about it.

Note the date font as well- looks like a cheap movement inside (or a cheap date wheel at least).
