Not very familiar with this model so Im asking the experts.
Based on these photos, does anything look off?
Comes with box and papers.

The number on the plaque in the box should match the number on the watch if I’m not mistaken.

Everything looks legit, as far as that can be seen on the poor quality pictures. But I’m no expert on spotting fakes. Does it have the subtly stepped dial which the FOIS has, and the Pro doesn’t? I can’t really see it on the photos.

Looks legit. If the chrono works then it should be okay. If it’s fake, the chrono second hand will act as the time second hand and tick like a quartz. Also the hour markers at 3, 6 and 9 will be shorter than the rest if it’s not real. I’ve not heard of anyone saying the Chinese movements can run chrono - having said that I’m only going on what I’ve read previously and I’m no expert.

It's supposed to have a stepped dial? Can't really tell. Waiting for more pics.

you can sort of see it in the pictures posted above. When the light hits the dial just right.

There's a big scratch on the case cover underneath the edition number. Not sure why someone would try to open a relatively new watch. And for this I'm 2nd guessing it.
What do you guys think?

Apart from poor photos seems fine to me
LOL. I've never taken a single watch photo that's even close to being as good as his.

You appear to be doing a lot of research and leg work for a "friend".

Interesting observation given that the OP has more posts than you do.

Been on forums since 2006. Got nothing to hide tough guy.
Not a tough guy at all....You seem to post a lot of requests for opinions on authenticity, just struck me as odd that you'd be asking for a friend. Your original explanation was enough. Not a keyboard bully, just curious.

I used "tough guy" in a friendly tone lol. I tend to ask lots of questions about things. Especially on authenticating a watch I'm not sure about. Brace yourself... I may have more coming. I'm on the hunt for the next one.

No doubt this will sound rude (Don’t mean it to) as text lacks all context, but have you considered making an effort to learn a little on your own? There are so many incredible resources out there that break speedies down to their individual components so you can learn what’s good and not. That way you can bring something to the table when you ask for help, which will in turn, help you learn more. Creating numerous “Is this legit” threads and stating more are bound to come can seem like you aren’t willing to make an effort. Again, not to be rude. Genuinely curious. I get that speedies are overwhelming with their variations, years, and then add in aftermarket parts, service parts, original parts, and so on... but there are loads of resources outside of this group that can help you learn.

Edited to add for clarification- I too have asked for help on a prospective speedy purchase. I have seen countless threads from others similar to yours and my own asking for help. I would read through them hoping to to glean any info I could. Reading responses like “pushers are wrong”, “service bezel”, “service hands”, and any other number of responses without further info as to how left me with more questions than answers. I found it easier to start doing research on my own using credible sources (some even created by forum members)... that way next time I had a question I could pose it like: “this is everything I am seeing with this speedy. Is there anything I am missing or am I wrong in my evaluation?”
