Thanks again - and from the time I have spent here I do agree that @ConElPueblo seems to be one of the most knowledgable people on these cases. If I may ask you then @ConElPueblo (and others are welcome to chime in): 950 euro for a French cased gold filled (presumably) Pie Pan dog legged Connie with buckle isn’t that bad is it? Of course the dial has a scratch and crown is not original etc. but even that taken into consideration..

I have never seen a gold-filled Constellation from that era. Especially one with a snap back case. It is not a gold-capped model, as the back of the lugs would be steel as well as the caseback.

This watch is either solid gold or totally fake. I would ask for a picture of the inside of the case, or walk away.

I see - thank you. It does seem very odd. If the case is indeed solid gold (and of course real) it would be quite the score. It is from an online pawn shop and they do offer 30 days to return the watch so I’m tempted to give it a go.

I always find that photos show dial marks that I don’t notice in 'real life'.

I find this particularly when I photograph my own watch for a WRUW posting.

Re. this particular watch I don't find very attractive. The price seems very fair, but I wouldn't consider it.
