Is this aqua terra case overpolished? Or any red flags?

    Hello all,

    I'm interested in buying this piece, it has all the boxes, links, and things I believe should be there.

    The seller disclosed that he had it polished a while back.

    Does it look to be overpolished?

    In general does this watch seem to have all the marks of authentic and good for purchase?

    I understand it's a Quartz, it's my preference so I'm pretty sure this is the model I'll be buying. Just making sure this particular piece seems to be fine.

    Thank you in advance for any all help.

    Coming here for advice before purchase as opposed to buying and then asking if everything checks out.

    looks great to be honest, you can tell it has been polished but not bad thing give it some wear and you'll be great.

    Being a Railmaster (basically a no-date AT with a special dial) owner, I would say that the weak link is these models is the bracelet clasp. They are often stretched...see if you can get a good photo of the closed clasp and see how much space there is between the snapping links.

    Thanks for the responses. I'll make sure to ask the seller about a clasp picture.

    I hear the word overpolished on multiple forums but I don't really have the experience yet to spot it. To me the watch looks good, but just wanted to doublecheck.

    Yeah, besides the bezel scuff at 9 o'clock, it looks like it's in great shape....I believe the case sides have the original brush finish. Looks like the hands don't have any corrosion. Also make sure there are no chips or scratches in the crystal.

    Over polished normally means the edges are no longer crisp.

    I love Quartz. As an electrical engineer I appreciate a technology that was difficult to obtain. I have mechanicals as well.

    I respect your opinion but I appreciate a Quartz movement.

    If you haven't bought yet you may want to ask what portion of the markers are hit square. I have a 1538 quartz, the better older one IMO, but it only his about half of the minute markets as the second hand ticks around.

    It is a great watch.
