I received a offer of 1100 for my breitling aerospace today and thinking of selling tomorrow as I don’t wear as much. Do you think I’ll regret it? I find myself wearing my 2531.80 and new aqua terra more often? I ave mixed feeling about this watch.

 

If you aren’t wearing it much and you need the money or can buy something you will enjoy more I think it’s a good idea. I sold a quartz Rolex I had it allowed me to get something I wear more frequently. Of course I have no idea of the value or how desirable that Breitling is you don’t want to take a bath on it if you don’t have to. Wait for the Breitling experts to chime in.

 

Thanks for the input. I’m having a rough time because I know that if I’m the near future I’m back in the market for one I won’t find one this clean in this model for the price. In terms of use, I really don’t wear it as much as I do my two omegas and was indeed making room to buy a explorer 2 that I’m still saving up for.

 

As much as it pains me (because I have the same two-tone titanium but w/grey dial, my first "real" watch) that's probably a pretty decent price. Don't quote me, but I think I've seen titanium-only pieces in auctions within the past year with starting bids/estimates from 600-800 (exclusive of fees). Yours looks really clean with minimal wear and the two-tone adds a little bit, but has it been polished/refurbished? I don't remember the lugs being so rounded and the finish being quite so matte. The right buyer might go a few hundred higher, but there's no telling how long it might take to find that right buyer and there doesn't appear to be huge demand. Only you can answer the "regret" question though.

This is the price to play with watches haha. Not everyone is in a position to have every watch they desire, and if you fall in this category (like me and many others) there will always be a piece you will regret selling. There will always be a piece you will buy a second, third, or fourth time. This doesn't sound like the watch you really want. You already don't wear it.You already have a watch you want that you are saving for. Part ways and make room.

 

This was also my first real watch. I’ve looked on ebay and your right there’s not a huge demand which makes the price low. I think also from owning it for about a year I’m not a big fan of the gold accent. Biggest reason why I’m not wearing it as much. Probably my last breitling to be honest since they truly don’t hold any value.

 

This hobby is starting to get expensive I thought I was going to be happy with the first watch and then I find myself buying a 5k watch now want a 10k watch lol. Things are getting out of control. In all seriousness I’m not going to regret selling the watch I’m more so going to regret the conditions it’s in but I’m sure I’ll find something better

 

I know it’s been serviced several times with breitling but I doubt it’s been polished, really noticeable on these titanium models when they get polished

 

I echo the sentiment that if you're not wearing it and it doesn't spark joy, let it go. I mean , don't keep this watch just because of fear of losing it. If you keep it, keep it because you like it, love it or enjoy it.

 

I'm the same boat with a JLC. Never wear it, and after trying on an Explorer II 16570 yesterday I'm pretty much decided to sell the JLC, which will put me well on the way to the Explorer and forking out more money than I ever thought possible in a bloody watch.

Joined OF 3 years ago with the purchase of a modest vintage Connie. I really thought that was it. One watch for life. Now look at me! Where did it all go wrong?

I can pick two important things that can answer you 1.You dont wear it often 2. You have another in mind you desire.

 

$1100 won't go all that far towards your next piece in the price range that you are shopping. I have a quartz TAG Heuer 1500 that was my first good watch and I wear it now as my beater when working, boating or other activities that pose risk to my good pieces. If my wife put her foot down and said firmly 1 out before another comes in, I would part with it. Until then, I will keep it.

That explorer is a sweet watch, perfect size too. I already know that once I buy that explorer I’m probably going to want a submariner after. It’s a bad addiction(financially)

Hey I’m with you I’ve tried to tell myself to use it as a beater but how it’s titanium I don’t think it’ll look so nice after a beating. I guess comparing to ss you can just get a quick polish and looks decent again. I also regret going with digital I really don’t know what I was thinking. I really enjoy my other auto watches

And the 1100 I agree I still need to fork out like 7-8k depending on what I go with but in my head somehow it all makes sense. Also my wife thinks it’s a watch for another watch.
