Is this a real watch?

Hey team,

I've tried googling about this particular watch and I can't find much about it. I'm really interested in it but no idea if I should pull the trigger if its fake.

I know the leather band is just an aftermarket leather band. But I'm interested to know about the actual timepiece.

A couple pictures are attached.

I've read some stuff about serial numbers and reference numbers but nothing has really helped me figure out if it's a fake or not since I'm completely new to this!

Yea it's real omega genuine ladies probably around the 60s
Case is 18ct solid gold
The long number on the movement is the serial number and you can just Google something like ( omega serial number search) pop that long number in and that'll tell you a rough date. The small 3 digit number is what that call a calibre number and you can search similar watchs with the same movement and the number on the case you can Also search and that'll show often the Same watch.

Just to reiterate that this is a very small cocktail watch. So just double check that the 15mm diameter will work for you.

The correct model number is 511.(0)037. Caliber 483. Watch is from 1963 more or less.

I looked at the Omega Database, but it is not listed there. No surprise as Omega made dozens of different models of Saphettes each year during the 1960’s.

Sure. Reference 11037. Small ladies watch from 1963 with a 483(?) movement. Dont overpay for it…

This is what Omega says about it: https://www.omegawatches.com/watch-omega-saphette-omega-ba-11037 Slightly different watch of course but close sibling

Thank you all for the information, I'm feeling very inspired to make the purchase. Just a nervous first-time buyer here! 😀

And thanks for this too, I was purposefully seeking out a small watch for my 15cm circumference wrist. Sounds like it'll be perfect!

My spouse’s favourite Omega Sapphette, 14-karat white gold. Bought as a rusted, worn out basket case. Movement returned to health, dial refinished. Synthetic sapphire crystal is tinted pastel blue, resulting in a darker blue “halo” around the faceted perimeter.

You like it, hopefully the intended recipient will like it. This watch is a manual winder, and will run maybe 36 hours on a full wind. My spouse has 3 Omegas which use that movement. They are exceptional quality, and good performers. She loves them, but likes her Rolex better.
