It's a 'banana' and extremely rare. Only seen 2 and one was owned by mac_omega.

As others have said it is extremely rare and genuinely valuable, I'd be very surprised if a forum member I know (not me) hasn't bought this one as its right up his street. They come up very very rarely and as you can see from the museums own example never in perfect condition, in fact the auction one appears on the surface to be better than the museums own example.

What makes them particularly special is the size, in an era when small was fashionable these beast really were out in a league of their own.

Cheers Tom

Confusing. I always thought of the SM200 166.068 as THE banana.
Believe it or not the 166.068 is 41mm wide and the silver case (OG) Banana is 48mm long!

Wait a 41mm wide rectangular watch??? I don't think anyone makes anything that crazy even today!

The Banana is indeed a rare bird...

The listing description was not correct on strap and buckle - the strap is a recent replacement.

Some time ago I did a write-up about my Banana - for those of you who might have missed it or want to re-read it, here is the link:
https://omegaforums.net/threads/what-i-also-collect.6904/

There you can see a period correct strap and silver buckle - IMO they are original to the watch.

Achim is right - the Banana at Rasmussen went cheap
