Just for reference purposes a tritium dial exchanged during service:

I think those hands are already SL.
I have to admit that I am a fan of the 2351.80 and I would consider it as the original SMP 300 with a strong relation to the Bond movies. Due to it’s releative affordable price I think it is kind of an entry watch and good value for the money.

The photo seems overexposed in that area, but if they have a slight green hue rather than the more white colour, they could be tritium.

Thanks for your reply Al. Sorry for the bad picture since I just have a smartphone as camera. The lume on the hands appears to be a lot better than on the dial. Are the any differences between SL and tritum from the backside of the hand? I noticed something that looks like white paint.

Can't recall a difference on the back of the hands, but the tritium on these hands as a green tint as I mentioned, and has a more grainy appearance that SLM lume does. If you expose them to light and watch them fade, you should be able to tell. Failing that, stick them in a closet for a few days in the dark, and if you can go in, let your eyes adjust, and still see a glow, definitely tritium. Tritium from the 90's will still glow, without an external light source, but your eyes need to be well adjusted to the dark to see it well.

I'm pretty sure I remember a thread somewhere that discusses a difference in the fonts between the tritium and luminova dials.

Guess I will ask since I don't know anything, what does the 2531.80 mean?
Model number? Are numbers associated with Omegas the model number or something else entirely?
