Hello dear fellow Omega friends Please take a moment and let me know if you have a take on wheather this is an genuine 1960’s Omega or a fake. Is it at all possible to tell from only this picture. I examined the clockwork and the back plate. It looks old and genuine. But i am worried about the dials and the plate. Especially the three “stripes” on the 3 and 9 o’clock. Best regards Mads Alnor
Mads, your photos are not showing. Just click on the ADD PHOTOS box under the reply area and select your photos and then follow the prompts.
Dial looks OK, we have seen examples of this dial in another thread here recently. https://omegaforums.net/threads/help-my-jumbo-2505-addiction.79360/
The applied markers are good. I'm on the fence about the dial as a whole and would like to see better photos. The font and marker alignment look a little wonky; but it could just be the photos.
The 'omega' font seems off, you should try to get better photos and a some shots of the movement and inside of the caseback.
too high. The 3 and 9 markers are a design I haven't seen before, but that logo suggests a refurb which drastically reduces value. need a shot of the back and the movement.
Dial seems to be a (bad) redial and the 3 and 9 markets are likely to cover up remanants of the numerals that were there previously.
As @X350 XJR pointed out, the 3 and 9 markers are correct. They have been posted previously. I still feel that better photos are needed to assess the dial, although I am leaning towards re-dial. The "E" in OMEGA looks pretty bad.
Allright - thanks everyone for your comments. I’ll pass on the watch, and keep looking for a good deal. Best regards Mads
