Hi,

I would like some advice please regarding a crown for my Omega Uk2292 alloy case.

I have looked at other UK2292 watches, and can see a variety of crowns used, but I understand there is a correct crown for these, and wondered if this one pictured is correct?

The diameter is 6mm and the thickness without the stem tube connection is approximately 1.8mm.

Many thanks

Lee

It does look right. Details can be checked against this that Antoine makes, it's an exact copy.

I recently found an original Omega 6 watch supply box for these in which they would have been supplied to the British military. Very pleased with it.

Thank you,I just checked the link and the crown does look very close in its shape and dimensions which is great.

Looking at the back of the crown I have noticed two metal finishes, compared to one metal finish on the reproduction crown.
Would you know if an original ww2 issue crown has this two finish detail?

The crown came with an incomplete 1943 30t2 movement that wasnt advertised with military connections, but its movement number is 102 end digits lower than a uk2292 pilots watch featured in an article about a ww2 pilot and his watch.
Yesterday,I fitted the crown into a uk2292 case that I bought by itself recently and it fitted very well.

My childish imagination is saying the movement I have could be from an m.o.d watch.....but an expensive visit to omega's archive service will probably put paid to that dream.
But it's ok,its still a clean and correct movement for the case,so still pleased.

Your Omega box is an excellent find!
And if I remember rightly,it cardboard material? which is even more amazing that you have it.
