i wonder if this is a early a277 all correct
Or a a277 with wrong second hand. It should be a flat paddle white second hand ?

The hands look okay to me. This is one of the known variants of the chrono sweep second hand.

This looks to be a correct mk1 early series (no paddle on chrono hand, blue sub register hands, short second markers on bezel). it looks very similar to mine that also has no pearl on the bezel. This is actually correct as the very first A277 batch in 1968 had no pearl on the bezel. Crown should have the small Z inside the star.

    Glad we can help

Mk2 have paddle on chrono hand, copper sub register hands and thicker second markers on bezel. Crown has NATO star also.

I must admit chrono hand visibility is crap on mk1 series, reason why they did change it on later series

I think it's cleaner and nicer with silver hand , but as you said harder to read :)

I am sure yours has a 184Dxxx serial that would prove it ia an early one
