Ok, thanks both for the input, very useful. I'm thinking it's not a classic 'redial' as the original would have likely had arrow markers and possibly numbers at 12, 3, 6 and 9. The quality of the dial and lettering are very good. I take the point about the chronometre vs chronometer spelling. I wonder if there was a switch in usage over time? I guess all we can say is that the dial was switched with a decent quality replacement at some point. Still the watch wasn't very expensive, it is the only 'bumper' movement watch I have and it's
nice to have a reasonably rare calibre.
