Looks like right dial (and maybe movement) with wrong case:

Omega did not mark their case backs this way and the case design is not correct for the period. IMO the case is not correct.

I'd say the original case was probably melted :(

The seller does state that he is not sure about the originality of the case.

That's what they say when they know it isn't right but just don't want to say it.

A real shame the dial looks nice, though lacking photo detail.

Also. Not 100%, but don't think that rotor is proper for that movement. Round bumper springs usually meant a rotor with flat faces. Current rotor is for hidden spring design.

Here's what the rotor should look like

Pity. I really liked that dial. However, I am glad I did not get a frankenstein!.

Well if you could find the right case on a donor it would be an anatomically correct franken

What about this dial?. It is a 2505. The omega looks wrong, and seems too clean:[IMG]

Am I missing something or is it everybody else missing it? Beautiful dial, but a 2505 dial would not be marked "automatic"

That dial appears to be great, but I'd have to have in hand to determine if was redial...maybe someone here can tell if it's original. So nice, I'd buy if price was reasonable. The applied, full Arabic numbers in white are sweet!

Yes, those are more like it. That's the problem with the watches from that era: dials are usually repainted or replaced. If you do not mind my asking, where do you find those dials?.

Here is my contribution to the dials of 2505.
I sincerely hope it is original and not redone dial.
