If your void is starting somewhat bizarre threads and posting comments in existing threads that don’t seem to make much sense, I’d say that you’re doing just fine. 43 posts since you joined OF on Monday of this week. Post farming are we?

Catteau was a famous and skilled pottery artist form Belgium. Lots of Belgians fled prior tot thé invasion to England and inflenced architecture there. Victor Horta was art deco avant la lettre. https://www.benl.ebay.be/itm/266962...hmg8u9psza&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY https://www.catawiki.com/en/l/87556529-theodor-paetsch-pie-dish-earthenware

I understood you instantly... basically wondering why you are hoarding more and more watches and if you will ever feel satisfied or just think of the next watch you want and how it's so much better than everything you have so far, so it's justified to want it? And this distracts you from the worries in life. Is that what you're implying though?

Because if so, probably it would never feel complete. There would always be something more rare/special and expensive no matter what you have. And if you eventually get every piece you want, then I don't know how it will feel. Maybe you will just become disinterested in watches altogether. Or maybe you will start looking into handmade ones, therefore unique ones.

I thought I would be happy with just 45KS and 45GS, but now I am thinking the dials are too plain, just white... There's always something more, isn't there?

Thanks for your message: I need distraction and that worries me. I appreciate your understanding. I must believe I am enough and not materialism necessary

Spot on ............. and deep! Isn't that what addiction and obsession is? Only other watch collectors would understand. I used to know a few trainspotters. They are really weird. My mate who was a judo instructor tried morris dancing and couldn't hack it!

We all need something.

Actually that is kinda cool. Don’t listen to Rogan I’m always curious why he is so popular maybe it’s the eclectic nature of the information. However the info provided I’ve heard before but sometimes you hear things presented differently it gets through I’m gonna steal that “eyes half open” part for work.

Thx. I don't watch Rogan but was told tot check it out. Ik like thé way GR describes différent People as being représentations of certain People's désirés but like Humans: they are flawed

It made me think of the youngins I work with who are running the streets, dealing drugs and just livin that life. They grow up in that atmosphere so to them it’s kinda like “the world expects them to be like that” their world that is. That’s when the eyes half closed comes into play. These guys aren’t inherently bad I don’t think they fully grasp the chaos they cause in their own and others lives. I’m gonna see how I can work it in but so many of these guys have unrealized talent and potential it’s a shame those streets grab such a hold.

When you got nowhere to go: you make thé street your home. And there is no place like home. And thé eyes half open; if a gangster kid makes it to 40, thé eyes usually realize they want to go to school. Politics is everywhere and you do as expected or face rétribution.
. Does this Guy appear to have his eyes half open?

Did not watch the videos -- Too busy watching model airplane videos.

One has not truly lived until they tried morris dancing. There is something about jingling like a telephone waving hankies about. Never did get as far as the sticks and swards though. Hope they were not actually hacking things.

Personally though I prefer the more sedate Jane Austin style country dance. Although a spirited Sir Roger de Coverly can really get the heart rate up.

Waltzes as polkas though seem so last century...

You are absolutely correct. Passion above all. Can't we have both though? I honestly believe I have passion for my my collecting but I also have the TV volume only on a prime number, don't step on cracks in the pavement, drive more cautiously on Friday 13th (and never fly), stack the dishwasher my way, and avoid motorways on bank holidays.
