There is quite a spirited debate on another forum about this whole issue, where Steve himself (allegedly) weighs in and is then swiftly rebutted by some responders. Fun reading...

A spirited debate here at the OF too.

I sent the link to the original post to my contact at the National Air and Space Museum since I thought they would find it interesting. The response I got back was "O'h Lordy...Here we go again"

This guy has popped up on other watch forums, but never with any pictures. Generally considered a delusional nutcase. Best to ignore.
