·I just finished servicing this 1943 Omega reference 2295 with R17.8 movement. great looking watch.
at first glance I was sure this dial was refinished. But there is absolutely no tell of made mistakes what you’d expect of a redial.
If I search on the reference I come across an OJ2295 on the Omega website it is a gold (colored?) case with black dial. It has the same spots as minute markers as this dial. The spots as I see them on my dial look like drilling holes. With a redial i’d imagine they would be filled with lacquer. These are clean.
The Font appears legit and lined out and the subdial markers appear to be lined out exact too. Now I am in doubt. Is it possible this is an original unrestored dial?
