Is Omega Fairly Classified As An Entry Level Luxury Brand?

Here you go:

Have a hard time with this pyramid. Based on quality Omega (and popularity) definitely should be moved up one level. Based on quality (not holding value) Lange should be included with moved up with Patek. There are so many other things wrong with the pyramid it's not worth getting into.

Surprised it wasn't this old chestnut that has been around since 2005 or so

Wait a minute Bremont isn’t on it with all their history and that they talk about, must be before their time 🙄
I like this chart much better, I think Lange belongs right up there on innovation and quality..

I wouldn't say Omega is entry level but rather mid-tier in the watch hierarchy.

Lol, Rolex and Ulysse Nardin at the same level as Richard Mille?
Hublot and JLC Side by Side?
Piaget with Cartier and Panerai?
Come on

I'd say its a bit more than entry-level, something like high-end tag is entry-level, omegas span a lot of price ranges too, a speedy reduced might be entry-level but the 7-8k moon watches are not

I came across this pretty accurate visual and thought of this thread immediately.

I prefer this chart (first row would be bottom, etc). Seems to be more descriptive/accurate.

How is Panerai anything other than mid range??? also, Tag should be with Longines, Bulova, Fortis, etc. in the Commercial category. Tag is NOT vintage Heuer.

Never said it was perfect. I just like it better than that pyramid on the first page. I agree on the Tag vs Heuer bit.

Semi-serious question. How is invictus still in business? Who even buys their cr@p? Worse then a Michael Koors watch.

I bought this a few months back.

Haha, you guys all so hilarious!! @STANDY @eugeneandresson @Stufflers Mom

My son just bought his gf an Invicta. It's getting serious. We are going to meet the gf parents in a few months.

Invicta is Queen of marketing, just one step below Rolex, as they are King.

After going 15+ years without a watch, it was an Invicta that led me here to OF. Therefore I will always have one Invicta watch in my stable.

But the heart, I am Omega.

I feel like for the most part “tiers” and very subjective and unreliable. For the most part that is so you would have to take it with a grain of salt.

Tiers are going to be very subjective. I think omega are an accessible luxury brand, but mid tier. I see the brand above Tag and below Rolex in terms of the more recognisable brands to the general public
