I leave the chrono second hand on todays date and advance it one second every morning when I wind it.
I then have Speedie 321 with date indicator.

 

I like to run the chrono needle off the logo as well, but also the hour/minute recorders to a nice, symmetric setting as I feel it lends a lively, "in-action" look to it:
