No doubt. Could you imagine what Buzz Aldrin's watch from Apollo 11 would fetch if they could actually find it and it was to be auctioned?

@Traveler Funnily enough, even I recognized that watch... Whats the deal?

We keep hearing about the high-specificity they had for using historically appropriate references, but the only photos we've been shown of the actual watches used have been put-together-pieces and forum member's personal watches.

Despite it appearing in the wrong context, the model that was supposedly supplied and used in this Neil's suiting up scene actually matches the real Ed White pretty closely... No T's... For fun:

I never noticed how weird the AML looks on the FOIS. Kind of makes me want to build that First Man/ed white replica, actually.

@gdupree , I loaned it to them for the ‘reference points’ article - they must have kept the pictures as ‘stock’ for any 105.012-67 needs. At least it’s the correct ‘Armstrong’ reference!

Looks like the movie team took a good look at the Apollo 11 walkout photos, and gave "Michael Collins" a brown paper bag as he actually wore in his left hand during the July 16, 1969 walkout...
However, in the movie walkout scene, "Buzz Aldrin" wears the Speedy on the wrong hand, so they didn't look that good in details after all...
Moreover, the Speedmaster chronographs were worn directly on the wrist, below the glove connecting ring!
Omega probably requested to wear the Speedmasters a bit higher for better visibility in the movie

OOPS, Yup Item 65.
I was pleased that they accepted it for the "Important Watch" Auction rather than the online auction.

Strange mix that 2998. 500 bezel, short indices and baton hands. Three different references?
Looks nice thou!

I'd also love to see the First Man Speedy released by Omega - are there nay rumors in this direction?

Otherwiese would it be possible to change the handset on FOIS? Where could I get such handset? Do you think an OB would make such a modification upon request?

Could it be a peek at what Omega are planning for the 50th Anniversary? All they need to do is make sure there's a 321 on the inside and folks should scoop them up, right?

What JB bracelet model is that everybody mention? Just saw the movie, the mesh style bracelet looks nice.
