Is it still hard to get the 321 Ed White?

I have been seeing more new-ish (2024 warranty card) 321 Moonwatch Ed Whites on ebay and Chrono24.

Are these becoming more available?

A new Omega boutique recently opened in my city. Are these watches still only offered at Boutiques?

Depends what country you're in, from what I've seen in various threads on here. Certainly seem more available around Europe, and if you thread search, sometimes available in stock in Boutiques. Suspect that's still not the case in the US though, but that's just anecdotal from what I've seen on OF.

Still a challenge to get them in the US from the boutique. However, if you look at preowned prices, it is pretty close to MSRP. So just depends on your appetite to wait however long.

It is a great watch though and absolutely worth it!

My AD (Netherlands) has one for sale since April but it's not moving.

Have not heard of any in stock ready for anyone to buy from a US boutique, but you can always call around and tell them you are ready to buy, you might be surprised. After this long in production, and the general decline in the watch business, they should be a little easier to find.

A sales associate at your local boutique can look up whether any other boutiques have that model in stock. If yes, they can get it for you. Although I doubt they can see what deliveries might be made in the future.

I haven't personally seen one at an AD or boutique. I do see them on secondary market at or close to retail.

OP here...I am seeing quite a few near new ones on the grey market....how do they get these?

Are the backdoors to the Boutiques not locked?

'Near new' means used. There will always be sellers of like new watches when something else catches their eye and they sell to fund it. I don't see any BNIB 321s at MSRP. The cheapest BNIB, in stock 321 on Chrono 24 is from Japan at US$17,285. Add in taxes and duty and it's well above US MSRP of $15,400. Where are new, in stock brand new ones at MSRP? I don't see them.

People buying from boutiques and then flipping soon afterwards.

If a watch is selling above retail people will buy just to flip for profit. It's impossible to stop.

as long as we can find beautiful 105.012s between 10 and 12k, the modern 321 will not rise above its retail price, most collectors will prefer a real 321 from the 60s

It’s already well above its retail price
