Is it or isn’t it?

Hi, need some help please. I’m led to believe this is an open face omega pocket watch from around 1897 but there is no omega stamp. Any help appreciated

Hi, the serial number on the case is an omega one from around 1897-1900 and the cal 534 was also used by omega? I’m no expert but have been told it was an omega and there is an identical one on eBay currently but from 1920

Did you look at the search link that @X350 XJR gave you? He is trying to help.

How can you tell that a number is an Omega number? Every brand uses the same numbers because they are the only numbers available. And when you get the chance, I'd be interested to see a photo of the Omega cal 534 movement you mentioned.

Hi, yes looked at the link and it bought up corberet and also omega, like I said I’m no expert but can only go on what I’ve been told and what I’ve seen, I’ll add a link to the eBay one which is identical

Are you joking? The eBay listing has an Omega stamp in the case and doesn't even show the movement. The sub-dial isn't even in the same place. How in the world can you say it's identical?

No. The link clearly shows it's a Cortebert, it doesn't show any Omega watches. It's a Cortebert movement. There is no Omega 534 movement, you still haven't shown one.

If you pay attention, you will learn something.

Wow, really glad I asked a genuine question! Didn’t realise I’d get into a debate with a keyboard warrior, knowledge is a wonderful thing and I’m sure there are things that you don’t know? Doesn’t hurt to be nice to people with less knowledge than you on a certain subject

I'm sorry you don't like the answers you received. But when you ask a question, and people answer, pay attention and be happy that your question was answered. That way, you will learn. No need to make silly arguments and complain.

Not complaining but your replies have all been condescending

My apologies. Now can we see the Omega cal 534 movement you mentioned?
