Seiko time corp. spans the full range of availability. Much like the Swatch conglomerate. Different branding must make sense.

I understand completely. I know I was a little off topic by mentioning the Seiko Credor model, but, as previously stated, I wanted to demonstrate that Seiko is not just an inexpensive quartz watch.

Grand Seiko is certainly worth the money. The craftsmanship and attention to detail is way above their price range. Remember reading an article that had macro shots of a Patek, Breguet, and a GS, real eye opener on their attention to detail.
