Just took ownership of the new Seiko Seasons, this is the Spring SBGA413. The dial is truly amazing! A short mini-review I did is here, but suffice it to say I am deeply enamoured of this one.

That is another great looking Grand Seiko. I will have to find my way to a dealer this year for the newest models.

Looking for a GMT and really starting to warm to Grand Seiko. Tried these 2 on today
A hard decision to be sure. Looks like a win-win. My opinion is for the bracelet, as I just prefer a bracelet over a strap. Mainly due to having cheaper watches rubber and pleather bands breaking in a year or months of regular wear. Might not be an issue with a watch of this quality though. Others will know more about strap service life than I. Good luck on deciding which great watch to get.

Prefer the white dial of those two. I've just ordered one of the GS 9f GMTs -- feels a bit of a cheat but always wanted to try an HAQ and this seems like a reasonable place to start.

The first Grand Seiko I have ever owned is the original snowflake. I have looked on the new GS this year, I feel like the quality is still superb and the watches looks amazing.

I’m a huge GS fan, as I consider it probably the best bang for buck brand there is. This is my only

And a beautiful watch it is. Nice moon watch as well. A fine collection. I love my sbga375g as well. Grand Seiko has fine quality.

A loving snowflake watch to be sure. The dial is exceptional. I will eventually have to get a snowflake, with the gold hands...

They are nice watches indeed. But the price point.... I just can't convince myself to pay MSRP for these. But the craftsmanship and attention to details-just mind blowing.

Oh my, those are some good looking watches. A hard decision between the two, but I have not seen their prices recently.

Deciding at the moment between a GS GMT and a Citizen "The Citizen" Chronomaster with Washi paper dial.

Hadn't really looked at HAQs but there are some beautiful watches with this tech around right now.

Oh my, that Citizen is sharp. Sounds like a hard decision, but I think that looking at them again may be helpful. Is that Citizen the 0100? I heard that was a super accurate model, but I am not that familiar with the higher end Citizens.

Yep -- the A060 caliber, +/- 5s per year . There's a blue dial option also, apparently. Not quite the GS Snowflake, but nice nonetheless.

Before my trip to Japan, i can't decide on whether to get a Datejust or a GS. Saw this model (SGBR287) and fall in love instantly. The finishing is immaculate with a blued steel second hand. My favourites are the hour and second hand as well as the "rice paper" dial (not sure if this is the correct term).

On top of that, the shopkeeper was nice enough to give a sizeable discount and it ends up at less than half the price of a Datejust.

Apparently this model comes only with the leather strap and no bracelet. But it works well for me since I prefer leather strap to bracelet. I got a feeling that this watch is a strap monster. Already started shopping for different color leathers here as the lug width is the uncommon 19mm. Have to custome made the straps to fit the specification.

Having handled both Datejust and GS, I feel that the quality is not on the same level. Don't get me wrong, Datejust design is beautiful as well as timeless and I still love it. But this GS makes me smile every time I look at it

A fine looking watch. I did the same thing with a blue dial datejust 36 and a dark blue dial spring drive sbga375g for close to the same price. I went with the spring drive as I was sold on that smooth sweeping seconds hand. An excellent watch to be enjoyed for years.

Been looking more seriously at the Grand Seiko quartz SBGV245 as a daily wearer... anyone with any experience??

The silver dial.

The smooth sweep is so beautiful. I was considering a GS diver spring drive and sometimes wish I had gotten it.

ai don't know if it's getting "better" it's always been quite good.
