I don't know, but a low carat gold case made in England makes me want to walk away

Very similar to one I have and case looks ok - Dennison cased a lot of UK Longines in this period as the tax on complete Swiss watches was high.

I'm not 100% sure that the dial hasn't been messed with after looking at this similar model: https://www.blackbough.co.uk/product/longines-hallmarked-1964-wwlhgw/

    - but it could be ok and just the photos

I'm no expert on Longines - I just researched the one I have, but the 12.68z movement was used for a long time (certainly from the mid-40s to the late 60s). I see nothing in that one that looks unusual - a Google image search on the movement should allow you to confirm.

Edit: Looks like the movement was produced from 1938 - impressive! http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-db.cgi?10&ranfft&&2uswk&Longines_12_68Z

There's nothing wrong with the movement, dial looks suspicious though. What you need are close ups of the dial (Longines "signature" and sundial) much more than close ups of the hallmarks...
