·I had repro No.6s fitted to a 2998-6 and a 7912 bracelet. With the way prices have gone recently for these bracelets I wear it on a Heuerville leather strap now.
Is CK 2998-61 the right reference?

7912 complete? Maybe £1,500 or more?
There was a 14 week wait for the straps but he might be down to 10 weeks now. I don't mind the wait as they are really well made and Stewart is an absolute pleasure to deal with.

Like some said, patience and you will find the spare parts, if ever you decide to replace the hands and end links. But I can't imagine you selling such an important (i assume) family memory, so just wear in good health as your grandfather did!

I do not know if I'll ever decide to sell it. If I decide to do it,will only because for the difficulty in finding spare parts =(
