Is CK 2998-61 the right reference?

Hi all, two years ago I received as a gift the watch that my grandmother gave to my grandfather as a wedding present.
The watch had been kept in a drawer for the past fifteen years, I received the watch with a leather strap, but I also received the original bracelet (7912) without the end links (I bought Omega N 617 original end links because can't find a N 6).
Can you tell me something more about this watch? Is it faithful to the reference 2998-61?
Thanks to everyone in advance for the help =)

    Francesco

Well they aren't the original hands but the rest looks nice in my eyes. As I say, I'm no expert at all

Hello, I already read this article and even here the hands are different.
Do you know where I could find the originals?

Many thanks for the help =)

Good luck buddy... they are not easy to find and are also very expensive if correct.

You will find the No6 end links for a pretty penny. This been your grandfathers watch is fantastic. You get to have a connection to you grandfather every time that watch is on your wrist.I would not worry about purchasing period correct hand.Just wear it as your grandfather had worn it all those years ago.
Wear in good health,as we say on Omega Forums.

Yours is a very good advice, let's say I would like to buy the original hands but not replace it with the clock (I would just like to own them).
My grandfather wore the watch with a very common leather strap (without the Omega buckle) but I prefer the original steel bracelet, I often wear it with the brown bracelet that you see in the picture.
I have some old black and white photos where my grandfather wears this watch with a leather strap and others with the original steel bracelet

Great Picture! Good luck finding the matching hands! For the N6 endlinks: There are repros out there, which fit better than your current ones I think.

There was a member on here who used to sell them. Think he was General*vintage on EBay.

Hi, thanks for the reply =)
@JimJupiter sent me this detail in a private message.
The eBayer told me that in this moment the N6 end links are out of stock and will be available again in a few weeks.
Thanks and have a really nice day
