Just installed both, iOS6 seems pretty slick, the facebook and twitter integration on both are actually really nice to use.

New maps in iOS6 aren't bad either at least in Australia, nice and fast/snappy to use too.

Using it on both the 4S & iPad2 and it's good, but draining the battery some on the 4S.

    Zippy little update though.

I think the maps are shit. They load fast because there's not much data to begin with. :)

The beaches around the Broadwater are all wrong. The land features and shapes don't even look familiar at a distance (it definitely did before).

They should've keep their own maps under wraps until it was on par for accuracy (and feature-wise) with Google's maps. I can easily use the Google Maps app when it's released, but that doesn't fix the 3rd party apps (cycling, etc) that now tie in to the bullshit Apple maps.

I don't normally get grumpy at software, but this seems ridiculous.

Note how Apple is missing entire islands full of roads, buildings, and people? :)

Wow, that's awful. I'm in the same boat as you when it comes to cycling. I use Cyclemeter, I hope it doesn't impact my rides too much.

Most of the Pacific Ocean here has an awesome green lawn next to it.

And close to the same area in Google Maps (via Safari web browser).

Apple maps is zoomed out a bit more there, but going closer does not reveal more details :)
