I don't necessarily have anything against them as a company.
Just usually the type of person who buys them lol.
Here is a headline I've made up to demonstrate what I mean...
"Florida man wearing Invicta watch, bedazzled jeans and Ed Hardy shirt pulled over in replica Ferrari that he claimed to be a Bugatti while on his way to stuff cocaine in an alligator, in an attempt smuggle the drugs across state lines where he was going to go film his new rap music video in an abandoned parking lot"

I don't own one, but I admit to considering buying one to complete my Magnum PI costume this year but couldn't find a pepsi dialed GMT for less than $50.

Since youre talking about a luxury brand, youre in wrong sub forum. Kindly transfer to High End Watches.

the guy that lives across the street watches that on TV and told us months ago that one of these days he is going to get himself one.
he is also the guy that calls the cops on our famous musician neighbor for beaming secret rays at his house.
I kid you not.

About seven years ago, and before I knew any better, Amazon kept featuring Invicta watches at Christmas as part of their hot deals. I broke down and ordered one.
I received the watch, opened the box, put it on for a minute. I promptly put it back into the box and returned it. I felt obligated to put a review on Amazon, which, to date, remains the only review I have ever left.
"This would be a great watch......if you're Andre the Giant......or a pimp."

Hey, some actually have the Valjoux 7750 mvt. too! lol

Yes, Invicta Reserve had them...actually quite nice watches in the mid 2000s when they were styled after vintage, and were reasonable size 40-42mm.

The new ones are just pimp.

This surely doesn't count. Tell me the old Invicta is not related to today's company.
Yes, they were an old Swiss company (40's I believe) that had gone belly up many years ago and the (I think) grandson restarted the company with this new vision. Have to admit, he is a marketing genius.
1940's Invicta below.

Swiss made, twenty-six jewel Sellita SW200, sapphire crystals front and back, 300m depth rating, push button micro adjustment clasp, great timekeeper, fits nicely on my eight inch plus wrist, $220 introduction price— bring the heat brothers and sisters!

Will be interesting to see how the Invicta story evolves over the coming years and decades, everyone has to start or in this case restart somewhere.

That was the main reason for my purchase. If the current owner is in it for the long haul he will change his strategy and guide the brand to a more upmarket and quality focus. The owner does not seem short of marketing acumen that's for sure. I will be paying more attention to this brand as the years go by.

For $70, you buy this and throw it out if something goes wrong.

https://www.amazon.com/Invicta-Collection-Stainless-Automatic-Bracelet/dp/B0009P66Z4/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=invicta 8926 automatic&qid=1580334934&s=apparel&sr=1-3

It's a watch, nothing more. At least you don't need to worry about batteries.

I looked on Amazon and they have several Rolex homage type watches in the 40-42mm case size. To me, it would be perfect for a 13 year old boy with a budding interest in mechanicals.

I do like that, I suspect there will be a long future for Invicta and if they push the Swiss parentage more and perhaps even start producing their own movement (mechanical) they might start to engender some respect outside of their current audience.

I still have my Squale 1545 Rolex homage and I think it's really well built considering the price tag.
